Hey, I'm Taral

I am an aspiring physician and recent graduate with a B.S. in Public Health from Wayne State University, with plans to pursue higher education. I enjoy science, travel, art, nature, and having fun. I aim to empower the communities around me and consistently seek more ways to learn. I believe that each individual has the skills and qualities that can benefit those around them, and I am always looking for ways to collaborate with individuals who share common values with me.

Recent Doings

It was an honor to be part of United 2 Heal, an undergraduate-run non profit humanitarian organization, as a Social Director, and later, Executive Vice-President. Our mission is to fight global health inequity by collecting, sorting, and shipping surplus medical supplies to areas in desperate need all around the world. We believe that each and every human being in the world deserves the same access to high-quality healthcare. We are partnering with the World Medical Relief in Southfield, MI for volunteering.

OptimizeWayne

OptimizeWayne is a group of social innovation evangelists connected with the common mission of encouraging students to work on solving community issues they are passionate about and that include tenets of social innovation. I was excited to be a part of building this organization from the ground-up, especially with the current shift to an primarily online setting.

Tremor Sense

Developed the long wished 'Tremor Sense' --- a mobile app aim to detect early sign of tremor related diseases like Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, anxiety disorders, etc. While development required a quite steep learning curve into the depths of computer programming, the outcome was really rewarding.
